Update April 11, 2011
Michelle and I had a fantastic time at the High Heels Poker Tour
Tournament in Spokane this past weekend. Sassy from HHPT hosted a
great event and Marc the poker room manager is the best around from
Northern Quest Casino. It was their first time holding the tournament
and they had a good turnout of exactly 100 women. 8 of the women
playing were from our poker retreat with Linda Johnson & Jan Fisher
the week before. I am happy to report that Sabrina, Kara, & Barb all
placed and cashed! Michelle and I didn't quite make it to the money but
we placed 27th & 22nd. We were both hoping to get to the final table
along with the rest of the women but know we have made some
improvements in each of our games and were able to utilize some of
what Jan & Linda taught us. Jan you would be happy to know that I
(Diane) actually grew something in the second half of the tournament. ;)
Michelle sat down at one of the No Limit cash games until about 3:30
a.m. and more than tripled up on her money for the night.
Congratulations to all the women who made the final table and thank you
Lauren (Founder HHPT), Sassy (HHPT Director of Tournaments) and
Marc at Northern Quest for a great tournament.

Congras to Barb, Bonnie, & Tonia for winning the first
HHPT "Red Stiletto" Ladies Team Event in Las Vegas
July 2, 2011. Proud and happy for our friends and
fellow poker players.
Some of Bonnie's favorite
things......a big stack fo
chips at the LIPS
Championship July 4th,
2011. Bonnie ended up
8th overall in this
tournament. Her pocket
kings ran into pocket
aces. Congratulations,
Bonnie on a great week
of poker for you.
November 2011- CONGRATULATIONS!
to Linda Johnson the First Lady of Poker for being selected for induction
into the 2011 Poker Hall of Fame.
Linda will be only the second woman to receive the honor. The first was Barbara Enright who was
selected in 2007.
We are so happy for Linda and can’t think of a better representative of the poker world or a person
more deserving. We had the honor of spending some time with her this past year and she is not
only an expert on poker she is truly a generous and kind woman who has a heart of gold.

November 2011 - WILDHORSE FALL POKER ROUND-UP
Michelle and I were lucky enough to attend the Wildhorse Poker Round-up in Pendleton, Oregon this fall. It is always one of our favorite
tournaments of the year. We both played the Ladies No-Limit Hold'em Event with 130 entrants. Neither of us cashed but Kara made the
I also played in the Seniors No-Limit Event for the first time. There were 213 entrants and first place received over $10,000. I felt like I played
well but still no cash. I have to say this was a really fun tournament. I enjoyed playing the seniors event and got to meet a lot of nice people.
Maybe there is some good in growing old after all.
We hope to be able to bring you more photos, more news, and more women's tournaments next year. Mark your calendars for the
Wildhorse Spring Round-up April 11-22, 2012 and the HHPT Ladies Event at Northern Quest Saturday, April 7, 2012.
Wishing everyone a happy and safe holiday season. Diane and Michelle
