June 7, 2009 - Noon
The cards should be in the air for the 2009 WSOP Ladies event. It was set to start at Noon today
(June 7th). We talked with Barb briefly this morning and she was calm, cool, collected and ready
to play some cards. We will be waiting and watching for updates and will post anything we hear
along to the rest of Barb's fans and railbirds.
GOOD CARDS & GOOD LUCK, BARB from ALL OF US!
Checking out what information I can it appears there are over 1000 entries a little shy of last year.
Barb said there were about 800 when she signed up this morning so several hundred registered
after she did. She also said there was a bounty out on Jennifer Tilly. Go get her Barb!

Poker Pro Kristy Gazes is already out of the tournament. Her pocket Aces got cracked by trip
Jacks. Ouch!
1:30pm
Several other players are gone along with one of the all-time female WSOP money winners
Marsha Waggoner. Her trip 5's lost to a diamond flush. Tiffany Michelle was eliminated as well.
This Afternoon
Some bad luck for Barb. She held AK suited and hit a A Q 6 after the flop. After raises and
re-raises her opponent who was the big stack at the table called her all-in. Barb had A's with
high kicker and a back door flush possibility. It looked like it was going to be a sure double-up
for Barb that would add to her 4500 in chips until her opponent turned over pocket 6's to give her
trips over Barb's A's to take her out. That is a tough one and we feel for you Barb. Hang in
there.........
